We loved the grandeur of this place, impressive from without and within. Our room was spacious, comfortable, luxurious and scrupulously clean. The staff were welcoming and efficient Language wasn’t a problem as many staff spoke English and also there were menus in English. The food was of an excellent standard. Outside there was an attractive garden to enjoy as well as woodland walks.

A very large and superbly decorated bedroom, the bed and chairs were comfortable. The room was well lit. Breakfast was a real treat. Dinner was good. It met the usual high standards of Paradors.

This hotel was built as a residence for a Conde (Spanish Count), in 1902, and has been sympathetically extended to the rear. It has pleasant gardens with walks through the woods. Underground parking is available for €5/night for motorbikes, not sure about cars. Very good food and service in the restaurant as well as the cafeteria.

Fabulous peaceful location - used as a stopover for a couple of nights before returning to the UK from Bilbao in order to visit the Guggenheim. Facilities and grounds very beautiful and well maintained. Pool looked beautiful, although we did not use ourselves. Service excellent throughout and restaurant experience very enjoyable.

Great stop off for the ferry but glad we booked two nights. Limpias is a lovely village on an estuary. Nice walk following a trail to see the sites including historic buildings and a lovely church. A few bars and good supermarket. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the dinner/breakfasts were really good quality. Great swimming pool in the grounds. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful, swanky hotel with decent dining. Also a wedding destination. the rooms were some of the best of our two week stay in Asturias, Cantabria and Basque. There is a pool, tennis, padel, but there are a few minutes walk at the bottom of the hill. Nice relaxed, luxury atmosphere

The dinner menu at the restaurant was outstanding. Interesting regional dishes presented with style in generous portions. The clams and baby squid were outstanding. Breakfast was also superb, big choice of interesting options

As a quiet trouble free stay before catching Santander ferry, the Parador at Limpias cannot be beaten. We have stayed several times - not cheap but is infinitely preferable to an overnight stay in the port. Relax and enjoy a wonderful meal, your last taste of Spain before home.

Our first time in a Parador, and we loved it. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a wide wide choice of food. The dinner was also excellent.

Very good breakfast. Good choice at dinner in restaurant with option to eat at the bar/cafeteria. Convenient for Santander ferry port.
